19 Jun Our Commissioning Service becomes the Commissioning Alliance

It’s been an exciting few years for the West London Alliance Commissioning Service. Created in 2017 to support sub regional commissioning solutions for our West London Alliance members (Barnet, Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon & Hounslow) for social care and education, the service has grown in terms of the categories of spend managed, services delivered, and the number of Local Authorities supported. The team now provides technology and services solutions to 32 of the 33 London Boroughs as well as a County Council.

Recognising the service had expanded beyond its West London beginnings, it felt like the right time to rebrand and illustrate that the team are supporting a growing number of councils with services, as well as highlighting that the vision and mission is to create solutions to national issues within national markets.

It was this that lead to the formation of the distinct Commissioning Alliance branding. The service will continue with support from West London Alliance colleagues, with governance provided by WLA Directors and a Chief Executive from the partnership.
