The Digital West programme is transforming West London boroughs and businesses into global leaders in deploying technology to solve people and place-based challenges.
The challenges we are focused on include providing more effective and efficient public services, reducing social and economic inequality and achieving the transition to a zero-carbon economy.
Through our Fibre West and 5G West projects, we are building state of the art connectivity infrastructure across the seven West London boroughs in partnership with the Greater London Authority (GLA), WM5G and Transport for London.
Our recent collaboration with University College London (UCL) Govtech lab has created new data integration infrastructure that can be scaled, paving the way for a range of new cutting-edge public services.
We have an active programme of collaborative research and development (CR+D) and we are keen to meet new partners and investors working in the following areas:

Our digital place programme aims to make West London a place where businesses can thrive through the rapid deployment of state-of-the-art digital connectivity (5G, IoT and Full Fibre). We aim to co-create new products and services with residents and business and to innovate at scale to help tackle long standing productivity challenges, such as road congestion and skills gaps.

Our digital councils programme supports the West London boroughs to thrive in the digital era, nurturing world leading Govtech businesses to deliver faster, more responsive, efficient and higher quality services for residents. We help the boroughs take advantage of emerging technology such as AI and 5G to offer a more tailored experience of interacting with the state, delivering better outcomes.

Our citizens and communities programme supports boroughs to reduce and end digital exclusion. With a focus on skills, we work with boroughs to help citizens develop innovative new solutions and tools that address their needs and solve problems, giving them more local control over local priorities and greater resilience.
