Congratulations to London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust, winning two awards at the DFN Project SEARCH 2021 national awards.

The awards are for the DFN Project SEARCH supported internship programme based at Northwick Park Hospital – a skills and education programme which successfully prepares young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) gain employment.

Thank you to all of the hospital staff, and programme partners; Kaleidoscope-Sabre, Harrow College, Harrow Council and DFN Project SEARCH.

Well-deserved recognition for this fantastic programme at Northwick Park Hospital.

AWARD 1: 60%+ employment outcome Winners Award

Over 60% of the DFN Project SEARCH interns gained paid employment at the end of their internship at Northwick Park Hospital in a range of departments across the hospital. Very well done and good luck to each and every intern for their future careers.

AWARD 2: Healthcare Inspirational graduate award – Thenesh Siridaran

After graduating from his internship, Thenesh is now an employee at the hospital and won this national award for being an inspirational intern/graduate working all the way through the pandemic, taking only a few days annual leave and doing extra shifts as needed to help his team deliver and maintain linen and laundry services and infection control standards throughout the hospital.

Thenesh fully immersed himself into the role and also achieved an ‘Employee of the Month’ award during that time. In addition to achieving ‘Employee of the Month’, due to his continuous efforts during the pandemic his managers recognised him as a COVID HEART Hero and awarded him with an outstanding achievement award. Very well done to Thenesh and to all of the team at Northwick Park Hospital.
