04 Jun A new free service to support young people with SEND improve their well-being and move into employment
The Social Care and Further Education Pathways Programme is a targeted programme to support those with SEND find a job they want, or move closer to the labour market.
Participants must be:
- Over 18 years old with SEND or a social care need or be known to Adult Social Care with a disability
- Be economically inactive – i.e. not signing on at JCP with a requirement to look for work.
- Be resident in one of the West London boroughs (Barnet, Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow)
- They do not need to have an EHCP
- They do not have to be looking for full-time work
NOTE – the service is also available to support the parent/carers of participants look for work.
