05 Aug David Francis to Step Down as WLA Director After Seven Years of Service

David Francis will be stepping down from his role as Director of the West London Alliance (WLA) after almost seven years in post. His last day will be 31 August 2025.

Barry Rawlings, WLA Chair and Leader of London Borough of Barnet, said: “Change has been constant during David’s time leading the WLA and throughout he and the WLA team have stepped up to the plate.  On behalf of the WLA boroughs we wish him all the best for his future and thank him for his commitment, service, and exemplary record of delivery.

David Francis said: “I am proud of the WLA’s achievements over the last seven years and look forward to seeing the partnership and the WLA staff team go from strength to strength. It has been a privilege getting to know West London and to work with the borough leaders and officers to deliver for residents across the seven boroughs. I’ll be taking time out with my family and making the most of the opportunity to rest and reset.”

As the WLA Director David has grown and led collaboration across the seven borough authorities, working with partners across the integrated care system and other stakeholders to drive transformational change and improved outcomes for residents. This had included award winning programmes and services on employment support, skills, digital, housing, transport infrastructure, net zero and social care commissioning services across London and the Southeast.
