03 Mar Are you are supporting unemployed West London residents that are looking for work?
The devolved Work and Health Programme (WHP) and Job Entry Targeted Support (JETS) programmes are designed to help West London residents overcome the challenges they might be facing in finding good, sustainable employment. Delivered by our partners, the national charity Shaw Trust, from 2018 – 2021 the programmes have supported over 6000 unemployed residents into employment.

“I was referred to Shaw Trust by my Universal Credit Work Coach at Wembley, it was one of the best choices I could have ever received. My Employment advisor was an absolute pleasure to have as she was very professional, understanding, motivational, encouraging and she took time to understand my needs and wants and interest. I was struggling to apply for jobs properly through my phone, and approached Shaw Trust and I was given an Amazon iPad. Being a single parent of two boys is hard as you have worries about when the next bill will be paid and making sure to be diligent in my spending, but due to Miriam and the Shaw trust program’s help and encouragement I felt like there was hope. And finally I spotted on the job board sent, the role for an Employment Advisor with Shaw Trust. And I felt a pull towards that specific role and proceeded to contact Miriam and letting her know that I would like to apply as I felt that I would be perfect for that Role. I have a passion and drive to help people and a lot of people who are in my situation need to know that anything is possible with a little faith, perseverance and trust in your employment advisor!
