31 Jan New Package to support skills and jobs for Londoners announced

A new campaign launched today by the Mayor for London will raise awareness of London’s skills offer, encouraging Londoners to take advantage of the thousands of adult learning courses available in the capital. This includes learning under the new Mayor’s Academies January 2022 Programme, aiming to support Londoners into job in sectors key to London’s recovery including the digital, health, green, hospitality and the creative industries. We are delighted to have supported successful West London bids in both Health (run in partnership with NHS North West London CCG, in green led by West London College and another on film/screen industries led by JGA Training.

Over the last few months we have also been working through our West London Skills and Employment Board to feed into the Skills Roadmap for London which has also been published today. This sets out the vision for adult learning in London, including the £320m Adult Education Budget, ensuring this can be even more impactful, accessible and locally relevant for Londoners and London’s businesses. We look forward to taking this forward and delivering real benefits for West London residents.
