12 Oct Setting the Standard for temporary accommodation across London

Setting the Standard (StS), a collaborative pan-London project in association with the London Housing Directors group, officially launched on 21st September 2020. Led by the West London Alliance and its Commissioning Alliance, StS aims to ensure Bed & Breakfasts and Studio Apartments used for temporary accommodation meet the minimum quality standard.

The project links together a dedicated central inspections team, with a new, purpose-built IT system to share inspections data across the participating boroughs. Since its launch, the project has received much positive feedback, with 31 out of 33 London Local Authorities now using the app. The StS Central team have been busy hosting workshops and demos to support with onboarding Local Authorities and Providers, with approximately  20% of Providers already successfully registered.
