The Commissioning Alliance (CA) is a Local Authority partnership that support the commissioning and procurement of services across adult social care; children’s social care and housing. The CA is part of the West London Alliance, which works across 7 west London Boroughs, and is hosted by London Borough of Ealing. The CA partnership extends beyond the 7 west London member Boroughs to 34 Local Authorities across London and the South East. Membership is continuing to grow.
The role of the CA is to support our member Local Authorities to become more intelligent customers: utilising data to inform strategic planning and drive procurement activity across the region. This role is central in our ambition to more effectively utilise data to drive value and better outcomes.
The role will take a lead on all aspects of data and information management, including;
- Collation and analysis of data (including identifying/cleansing external datasets)
- Analysis to inform strategic planning/development of business cases/funding bids and commissioning/procurement strategies.
- Presenting insights and intelligence to Heads of Service across the Partnership.
- Develop and maintain a variety of data tools and models (including a Regional Children’s Sufficiency Statement).
- Power BI development.
The role will be part of our new IT Product Development Team. It will play a central role in the development of our emerging data offer to Local Authorities; ensuring that we achieve our long-term aspirations for data management and supporting the strategic ambitions of the Commissioning Alliance and its partner local authorities.
The successful candidate will have excellent Microsoft Excel skills and will also be an experienced developer of Microsoft Power BI, which is the key data tool used by the CA to share intelligence and insight with partners.
The role is envisaged as a full-time post of up to 35 hours, with scope for flexibility or part time. Secondments are welcome. This role is subject to Ealing Council’s vetting process.
