Hounslow, working with Harrow, having already been successful in securing funding in 14/15, have submitted a business case that would see the Skills Escalator project help more working residents trapped on low incomes to 'upskill' and increase their earning potential.
Brent, working with Barnet, submitted a business case for the 'Working People, Working Places' programme, which will see multi-agency teams working with communities in local neighbourhoods to help tackle entrenched worklessness.
Barnet, working with Ealing, have made a case for a new way of working to support young people at risk of becoming NEET (Not in Employement, Education or Training) from an ealier age, with wrap around support and greater links between schools, colleges and employers.
Finally, on behalf of seven West London Boroughs and the London LEP, we've submitted proposals to create a much more integrated system to support people with low level mental health disorders into employment.
